There is huge variation in senescence rates not only within individuals of the same population and possibly within the individual itself. Claire's research aims to understand the factors causing variation senescence. In particular, she will study asynchrony of senescence in traits in various groups such as behavioural, reproductive and physiological, and also investigate the quantitative genetics in variation of senescence.
