Project: Intergenerational consequences of biological in a vertebrate population.
Individuals do not always age biologically at a linear rate to their chronological age, meaning some may be biologically older or younger than their chronological age. However, most previous studies overlook this fact and use chronological age rather than biological age to investigate intergenerational effects of parental age at conception and therefore cannot fully explain the evolutionary impact.
Callista will develop a method of accurately determine biological age and investigate how and to what extent this impacts offspring and later generations.
